When i resigned from my academic position of 13 years, a very wise medical student I know Olivia Richman told me how she failed medical school and was writing a book about it- “The Thriver’s Guide to Medical School”. That kind of resilience inspired me. Thanks to the amazing tutelage of Eric Koester Amy Dong Colleen Young Haley Merlin at the Creators Institute, I am learning how to write a story. The process is really hard but the inspiration of what is possible continues to fuel me. The time has never been better to talk about what ails Physicians today.
Today was Day One of a New Conversation at End Physician Burnout Summit. The talks today from Gave me inspiration and information for my book with the working title “The Wounded Healer-The Evolution of Physician Burnout”. Between the Summit and the Georgetown University Course structure- including weekly classes, interactions with the other writers in the Institute, to the #speakerseries ( I met Simon Sinek!), interviews and editorial support, this book is part of the path of my healing. Thanks to everyone who is helping me to achieve this feat I never ever thought possible.
If you want to get in the conversation and have a story to share, please drop by Groove MD and connect with us. My compassionate partner Jennifer Tam MD and I want to move this conversation forward. We aim to impact those of us who are suffering and even prevent burnout before it starts.
We believe that access to healing for our wounded healers is by telling and sharing our stories, which is what the book is all about!here https://www.groovemds.com -
